HOW IT WORKS

The whole game, in four pictures.

1
POST YOUR PROJECT

Paste your link. We draft who your buyer is — you fix it and confirm. Your quests appear on the board.

2
DO A QUEST

Pick a quest from another builder. A few honest minutes: read their page, try their product, or ask a friend who fits.

3
SHOW YOUR WORK

Answer the quest’s checklist. Saying “this isn’t for me” counts exactly the same as praise.

4
EARN GOLD

Accepted work pays gold — and gold is the only thing that pays for quests on your project.

THE RULES

Short enough to actually read.

THE QUEST BOARD RULEBOOK
  1. You start with 5 gold, our gift — enough for your first small quests. After that, helping is the only way to earn more. Nobody can buy their way in.
  2. Every quest has a checklist. Checklist done = you get paid — even when your honest answer is “this isn’t for me.” Bad news pays the same as praise. A founder can send a receipt back once if a step really was skipped, and never because they disliked the answer.
  3. Bigger help costs more gold: reading is 1, a real test-drive is 3, a warm introduction is 10.
  4. Introductions are permission-first: you only introduce a person you actually know, they say yes first, or nothing happens at all.
  5. Your answers stay between you and the founder. Only the fact that you helped is public.
  6. No upvotes, no reviews-for-reviews, no spam, ever. Anyone asking for them leaves the board.
THE QUESTS

Three kinds of help. Priced by how rare they are.

Visits and likes don’t make customers, so we don’t trade them. The valuable thing is a real buyer paying real attention — honest feedback, real QA, and reach that’s actually yours.

1

FEEDBACK 1–5 gold

Someone tells you the truth: what your page says, where they'd have quit, whether it fits their work.

2

QA 1–2 gold

Someone tries to break it — on their phone, in an odd browser, down the flow you never test.

3

REACH 4–10 gold

Someone opens their own audience, or introduces one real buyer who said yes first.

All 8 quests, with what each one asks
  • Read & react1 gold
Read their page cold and say what landed and what lost you — the one read a founder can never do again.
  • Pocket check1 gold
Open their page on your phone or an unusual browser and screenshot what breaks — the bugs a founder's own machine hides.
  • First-run walkthrough2 gold
Get in and stop exactly where you'd have given up. Founders can't see their own drop-off.
  • Break something2 gold
Pick one flow and honestly try to break it. A bug they can reproduce is worth more than a compliment.
  • ICP test-drive3 gold
If you could be their buyer: get the founder's yes, try it for real, and say whether it fits your work.
  • Tell your people4 gold
Tell your own audience about it, in your own words, on a channel you own. Your reach, honestly used.
  • Come-back check5 gold
A week after your test-drive: did you ever go back on your own? The answer founders least want and most need.
  • Warm intro10 gold
You personally know someone who fits their buyer profile. Ask them first — their yes is the proof.
The top two rungs have to be earned on each project: the come-back check opens a week after your test-drive there was accepted, and a warm intro only after some quest of yours was — you never vouch for something you haven’t touched.
HONEST QUESTIONS

What this is — and what it refuses to be.

Is this an engagement pod?
No — it’s the opposite, on purpose. Pods trade fake signals: upvotes, likes, hollow comments. The board trades labor: a test someone really ran, feedback someone really wrote, an introduction someone really asked permission for. Every quest must be worth doing even if no algorithm ever saw it.
Why would a stranger’s opinion help me?
Because it isn’t a random stranger. When you post your project you confirm a short buyer contract — who your buyer is, what problem you solve. The expensive quests are reserved for people who match it, and you approve the match before they start.
What if nobody here can reach my buyer?
Then we say so, honestly, instead of serving you junk traffic. The test isn’t whether your product is for builders — it’s whether some of your buyers can be found among them, either as buyers themselves or as people they personally know. A language app for people who moved abroad passes: plenty of builders have moved abroad. A tool for dentists doesn’t, yet. You say how the route works in one line, and every helper is scored against it.
Who sees my answers and my contacts?
Receipts are private between the helper and the founder. An introduced person’s identity is revealed only after they opt in themselves — and if they close the tab instead, nobody is told anything.
Can I earn gold and never post a project?
Yes. Freelancers, consultants, agencies and community folks are welcome — no company required. The board is full of the people you sell to, and visible, honest work here is better marketing than any ad.

Your buyers aren’t all on this board.

Messaging.Quest — the outreach tool behind the board — finds companies that would actually buy what you built, writes one honest message each from the evidence, and sends it from your own domain. See your first contacts free.
